Frequently Asked Questions
What are your lead times for bespoke timber joinery?
Lead times vary with the complexity, size, and current workshop schedule. Contact us with your project details and we will give you an estimated turnaround.
What timber species do you work with?
We work with pine (treated and untreated), cedar, rimu, kauri, and macrocarpa. Cedar is our usual recommendation for its stability, strength, and resistance to warping in New Zealand conditions.
Are your products NZS 4211 compliant?
Yes. Our windows and doors are tested to NZS 4211, the New Zealand standard that specifies window performance for wind load, water penetration, air leakage, and operational durability.
Can you make custom sizes for windows and doors?
Yes. All of our joinery is bespoke and made to measure, so we can accommodate custom sizes, configurations, and detailing to suit your project.
Do you offer glazing and priming options?
Yes. Double glazing is available across our window range, and we offer pre-priming so the joinery arrives ready for finishing. For exterior joinery we recommend oil-based paint with a light reflective value over 40%.
Do you deliver outside Auckland?
Yes. We deliver nationwide across New Zealand, including the lower North Island and Hawke’s Bay. Freight is arranged per project; contact us for a delivery estimate.
What warranty do you offer on your products?
Exterior windows carry a 5-year guarantee, conditional on being finished with oil-based paint in a light colour (light reflective value over 40%) and sealed on all sides including top and bottom edges immediately after installation. See our warranty page for the full care and finishing requirements.
Can you match existing heritage joinery profiles?
Yes. We specialise in heritage restoration and can replicate existing profiles to match villa, bungalow, and period homes. Custom profiles can also be developed to architect specifications.
Do you work with architects and builders?
Yes. We work directly with architects and builders on bespoke joinery for residential and commercial projects, including custom profiles and detailing to meet specific design requirements.
Where is your workshop located?
Our workshop is at 7 Binsted Road, New Lynn, Auckland 0600. All of our joinery is manufactured in-house.
